The road to New York

Crossed into the USA today and picked up our Jeep Compass to drive to New York.

We drove down past the finger lakes and through Ithaca where we grabbed some lunch.

Although it was a seven hour drive I found it relaxing after the busy last couple of days. Until that is we got into New York!

Due to the traffic the sat nav kept changing by our route and I had to keep changing lanes. To make matters worse we were up against the clock as we had tickets for ‘Strictly Sinatra’ in the BB King Blues club.

We dropped the car off, got a taxi to the hotel and headed straight out to the club (this holiday may be fun but restful it is not). We’d missed the first ten minutes but got there just in time for ‘New York New York’!

The Porterhouse steak was delicious. We then explored Time Square (which Lou complained wasn’t square) before grabbing some of Juniors famous cheesecake.
